Our commitment
PEV Scout is a spec database, not a review site. Every data point on this site is sourced directly from the manufacturer — we don't add opinions, inflate specs, or fill in blanks with estimates. If we don't have a spec, we leave it blank.
Where data comes from
- 1.We scrape product pages directly from brand websites (official manufacturer pages only).
- 2.An AI model extracts structured specs from the page content, with a confidence score for each field.
- 3.A human editor reviews every extracted spec before it goes live, verifying against the source page and flagging anything uncertain.
- 4.Only after that review is a bike published to the database.
What we cover
- — 2024 model year and newer only
- — Major brands available in the US market
- — All vehicle types we support (currently e-bikes)
Pricing data
Prices are pulled from retailer listings daily via automated price tracking. Prices shown reflect the most recent data we have and may not match the current price at checkout. Always verify the final price on the retailer's website before purchasing.
No hands-on testing
We do not test bikes ourselves. PEV Scout does not publish ride reviews, range test results, or performance benchmarks. All specs are manufacturer-claimed. Real-world performance may differ. We always disclose this on every product page.
Affiliate relationships
Affiliate relationships do not influence which products we list, how we sort them, or what specs we display. We list every major brand regardless of whether we have an affiliate deal. See our Affiliate Disclosure for full details.
Corrections
We take data accuracy seriously. If you find an error, please contact us with the product name, the incorrect field, and a link to the correct source. We aim to fix confirmed errors within 24 hours.
